Good podcast audio comes down to a handful of essential pieces of equipment. Whether you're planning to build a home setup or just want to understand what a professional studio provides, here's a breakdown of what you need.
Microphones
A dynamic microphone (such as a Shure SM7B or similar) is the industry standard for podcasting — it rejects background noise and sounds great for voice. Each speaker should ideally have their own mic.
Audio interface or mixer
